Every now and again, you get a perfect storm of a wedding. In a good way.
Jessie and Bobby’s wedding at the Loews Don Cesar property on St Petersburg Beach in Florida was a prime example.
Sometimes you shoot a wedding and the couple are gorgeous, but the chemistry needs a bit of prodding. Another wedding might have great details, but the family and friends at the wedding don’t show much emotion (requiring all of my ninja photography training to get real candids). You get the idea.
None of these scenarios could be further from what actually came together at the Don Cesar in Jessie and Bobby’s wedding. A very good looking couple to begin with, they had an awesome, effusive family. The energy in the air was palpable through the whole wedding day.
Their chemistry was electric. They showed themselves to be 100%, totally smitten with each other, and they weren’t afraid to express it. It made for a lot of truly rare and remarkable captures on their wedding day.
The decor and details in the King Charles room at the Don Cesar were perfection itself. Tastefully one, the whole room was incredibly inviting and lush.
The couple had a live painting commissioned. The artist, Kelly Whited, pulled off something I never thought possible. She painted Jessie and Bobby while they danced their first dance. A real testament to her skill, the painting looked amazing, even as she was working on it!
The cake was one by the always sublime Alla Levin from the Cake Zone. Lauren, from the Don Cesar and Beth, from Cheers Events worked together with true synchronicity and aplomb. I love working with them!
