Everything about Katie and Nick’s wedding was a superlative.

Katie had the most radiant smile I’ve ever seen. They had the largest bridal party I’ve ever worked with (between bridesmaids, groomsman, house party girls, and ushers). Their entrance to the reception, on a boat (check out Part 2 to see it), was the coolest one I’ve seen yet. Their family was the most excited-to-see-them-get-married I’ve ever worked with. The band, South Town Fever, a 12 piece musical force of nature, was some of the best I’ve heard.

And that’s not even mentioning the gorgeous house the girls got ready in, designed personally by Katie’s mom. If I had been told it was purpose built to take wonderful photos in, I wouldn’t have hesitated a second to believe it.

Katie an Nick’s friend sang at their ceremony, and I can honestly say it was some of the most stunningly beautiful music I’ve ever heard in person.

All of that, and I mean all of it, took a back seat to one of the most sincere and joyous group of people I’ve seen at a wedding. Everyone was beaming. The men stood taller and laughed louder, and the women dressed better and danced longer.
