How could Tommy’s wedding be anything but larger than life?
Tommy, a British expat, cuts a cinema sized figure in every room he walks into. Miranda is his perfect compliment, demure, softly assertive, and very kindly.
At their wedding, Miranda walked down the aisle wearing her mothers brilliant heirloom necklace on the vast front lawn of her childhood home. They were married before a great, ancient oak draped in vines.
Afterwards the myriad of guests milled around to the rear lawn on the lake. Tuscan lights draping the celebration, the live band kicked out the can’t-help-but-dance-to-it music while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour at tables festooned with stunning floral. Their guests were from a host of international destinations, so the couple emblazoned each place setting with the guests home country flag!
Then Tommy took the mic. He sang, not one, not two, not three, but five original songs. One to his groomsman, one to the bridesmaids, one to each set of parents, and one, of course, to his new wife, Miranda.
Tommy’s favorite football (*soccer) team back on the continent all signed a jersey and sent it over, personalized for the couple!
And if all that weren’t enough, there were fireworks. That’s right, fireworks right there on the lake.
Like I said, larger than life.
