It was obvious Kelly had already planned out what she was going to do if the Bruins lost.
Kelly and Mike’s wedding was almost as much of a testament to their fandom for the Boston Bruins as it was their love for each other. Coincidentally (or maybe not) the Bruins were playing a huge playoff game on their wedding day. The stakes were high.
When the news came that the Bruins had lost later in the day, no more than a second passed before Kelly turned to Mike, smiled her million watt smile and give him a huge kiss. I can’t say for sure if that completely took the sting out of the defeat for Mike, but I can say he was smiling and having a great time the rest of the day.
I can honestly say that Kelly and Mike’s wedding was one of the most pleasant I’ve ever been at. Both of them had such an awesome down-to-earth, laid-back energy, it was just infectious. James, their DJ, and Jessica Roof, their amazing planner, and the always amazing staff at the Grand Plaza all talked about how easy and carefree this wedding felt. Casey and I felt the same way.
