So I called Trisha a few days before her wedding day (like I do for all my couples), just to double check my facts and run through the big day with her. As I spoke to her, she seemed calm …almost too calm.
When Casey and I arrived at Trisha’s suite, she still seemed cool as a cucumber. Which worried me a bit. You see, a bride is either (at least a little) nervous/excited leading up to her wedding day, or on the actual day of. It has to come out somewhere, it just does.
Hair and makeup done, looking beautiful and bride-like, Trisha put on her jewelry. Then it happened.
Many brides opt for the consistent oh-man-I’m-getting-married low level background nervousness over the course of days or even weeks. Not Trisha. She fought it till the poor girl just couldn’t anymore, and then it hit her.
As she was looking in the mirror, she started tearing up. For just a few moments, the tears just wouldn’t be stopped. Her girls rushed to her side. Tissues and mimosas and everything-will-be-ok’s were quickly passed over to her.
Then, just as quick as it came, it left. And it was amazing to see, Trisha was a changed bride. From that minute on, she was all smiles and jokes and in the moment. Which of course just happens to be what make for great pictures.
