Anne and John {Tampa Wedding Photographer}

‘Come quick’, says a wide eyed Natalie (one of the event coordinators), ‘there’s fireworks!’

Even though I doubted we would get out there in time, I run over to Anne and John’s table at the reception, ‘Guys, there’s fireworks outside, wanna grab a few photos?’ We run over to the nearest balcony, all of our faces incredulous, and there they were. Real fireworks!

It was a microcosm for how Anne and John’s day went throughout. When you plan a wedding and fly down from Alaska (they’re both physicians there) and fly much of their family in from New York and elsewhere, you want things to fall into place. Man, did they ever.

The ceremony was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, and Holly Ferrante of Relax Event Design made sure everything ran oh-so-smoothly. Anne and  John treated the guests to a Penguin March, which is exactly what it sounds like!  The reception was hosted by the Florida aquarium, and during cocktail hour the guests got to mingle with a pair of South African penguins.

Everything that Anne and John planned was just so thoughtful, from their gifts to each other, to the stunning centerpieces (provided by La Vie en Rose), to the hilarious handmade fish hats for the kids spoke volumes about who they were and how much they cared for their family and friends.

Anne’s gift to John was a pair of brew tasters, but you can use them as cricket bats in a pinch

Dad patiently waiting…

I thought this was such a cool touch. Anne and John got a hold of photos from their parent’s and sibling’s weddings and themed each table with a portrait and anniversary date!

Lexia (my second shooter for the day) and Holly (the wedding planner) were transfixed with this guy…

Nobody said fish hats are just for the kids, did they?
